Mouflonclose up

This september I travelled to Switzerland to try out a photography tour. This photography tour will be for a group of 6 people and I will co-host it with a local pro photographer.

One of the photographical highlights certainly was this Mouflon ram (Ovis orientalis). The Mouflon are a subspecies group of the wild sheep and their normal habitats are steep mountainous woods near tree lines.

This male was extremely relaxed and we were able to come very close to him. In fact we switched from big telephoto lenses, to medium zoom lenses to wide angle lenses while photographing him. A real unexpected but beautyful experience!

As always with wildlife photography you should be prepared for the unexpected; it will not last very long and before you know it, you missed it.
