Hoodedcrow

Up to now Holland hasn't experienced a real winter. Which is a shame because the winter is a great season to photograph; especially if there is snow.

Early 2013 I spent some days in Scandinavia in a special hide hoping to photograph golden eagles. The eagles however decided not to cooperate and the only eagle I saw was sitting far away high in a tree.

Birds which did show up regularly in front of the lens, were Hooded Crows (Corvus cornix).

It wasn't easy to make a good looking photo of these birds. By waiting for one of the birds to walk up a small hill and by taking a low point of view, I could use the snow as a foreground.
